RACE COMMENT
BEACHRIDE (8) burned hard to hold the lead in the early stages last start in a race taken out by Major Hot. He got tired late but was entitled to there having run such a fast lead time and they didn’t come up for air at any stage. He should be running on well late.  IN EXCESS (5) draws to advantage over his main rival in this race in Beachride. He has been racing well and was a good recent winner over the 1660 at Albion Park leading all the way. He does draw outside of a few gate speed horses which may see him working in the early stages.  DRAGON (7) took on a stand start last start and ran a good fourth there in fast time. He drops back in grade into this race but does draw inside the back row which appears to make things tricky for him.  NURBURGRINNG (9) sat without cover last start and wasn’t beaten too far. Should get a good run in the race and can be running into it late.
