RACE COMMENT

OVERVIEW: I AM THE STORM (10) was runner up in a heat of the New South Wales Derby in March then followed with a ninth in the Final. He pushed forward to find the lead and scored in a slick mile rate of 1.55.2 at Ballarat last week and he is likely to make his presence felt. JILLIBY TOMCAT (4) continues to improve with every start and is well drawn so he is capable of completing a hat trick. He worked hard early then gained a trail when he finished third in a mile rate of 1.56.4 at Terang last outing. FINAL PROMISE (1) was resuming since March when he was held up behind the tiring leader and finished off well for second behind the smart type Ollies The Boss at Shepparton. He should be fitter from that run and is worth thought from the pole position. RUFF NUT (9) is a handy 3yo pacer, which should go well against this line up.
